This competitive ladder league is for all genders and abilities 3.0 and greater.  You do not need a partner to join a ladder league. You will be placed on a court each week with three other people. Each week you will have one to two different players on your court.

The ladder format is designed so that players mostly play others of similar skill level. One to two players out of four on each court will move up or down the ladder (or one court) each week according to whether they have the highest or the lowest point total. The two end courts will only have one player move. The remaining players will stay on the same court. The next week play will start off where the previous week ended.

LOCATION: RPSI Vann Road Park Complex - 5211 S Vann Rd, Newburgh, IN 47630

PLAYERS: There are 20 player slots that rotate partners after each game, All players must register individually on a first come, first served basis.

COURT ASSIGNMENTS:  Week #1 will be determined by player ratings. Weekly league performance in the league will determine court assignments for future weeks.

COST:

  • $30 per person for RPSI members when using the RPSI ONLY $15 discount code that was emailed to members.

  • $45 per person for NON-RPSI members. If you are not a member and would like to join RPSI you can join here.

If you fail to use the discount code at the time of registration or are unable to play after you register, we will be unable to issue a refund/credit.

SCORING:  You will play three games to 21. You will play one game with each player on your court. Rally soring will be used to ensure pace of play. The maximum points for any player on one court for the week would be 63. You cannot exceed 21 points per game (not win by two).

TIE BREAKERS:  If two players on the same court tie for either the lowest or highest points during a given round of play (3 games), the league coordinator will choose the player with the lower Player Number for the lowest points tie breaker and that player may move down a court, if applicable. The league coordinator will choose the player with the higher Player number for the highest points tie breaker and that player may move to the next higher court, if applicable. In the case of a tie between a player and a substitute player, the normal league player automatically wins the tie regardless of the Player Order #.

SUBS: Please let your coordinator know with as much notice as possible, if you will need a sub. There will be a sub list and the coordinator will get all subs from their sub list.  Whoever plays in your spot, will earn you the average of the court score for each game. So, if the game is 21-11, you would receive 16 points for that game. This will prevent you from moving up but still gives you positive points.

GAME PLAY:  There is no rule stating which team's starting server begins a new game (i.e. serves the first ball in the game). Players are not compelled to use another player's personal preference of who serves first. Each team may take one 60 second time-out during one game. You will switch sides at 11 points of each game. There is a maximum 5-minute break between games during which players should enter their game scores or go to the restroom.

EQUIPMENT:  Please bring your own paddle, outdoor balls and proper hydration.
