INTRODUCTION TO PICKLEBALL CLINICS

Ready to join in on the fun of Pickleball?

Introduction to Pickleball is a two-hour beginner program that is ideal for players brand new to this sport or for those who have only been playing for a short while.  This clinic is not intended for anyone with a skill level 2.5 or above. 

​

CLINIC CONTENT: You will learn the basic fundamentals such as how to hold the paddle, the difference between an outside and indoor ball, court lines, rules, pickleball terminology, basic shots, dinking, serving, positioning and scoring.  You will be able to play some practice mini games to incorporate what you learned along with attempting court strategy.

 

COST:    $25 per attendee. Payable at the time of your online registration. (RPSI Members get a $5 discount by using the discount code sent to your email!) No refunds/credits - so please review the RAIN DATE for the clinic you are registering for if it is at the outdoor courts.

SPACE: Limited to the first 12 individuals that register/pay (per clinic).  We will reserve 3 courts for this event. Each court will have 1-2 instructors.  No walk-ins.  Each participant must register individually due to the waiver confirmation required. If you are attending with a spouse/friend, please notate it in the additional comments section at the end of the registration form.  When registering, if the class says “not available” it is sold out.  Please choose another date.

CLINIC DATES - OUTDOOR RPSI COURTS REGISTRATION

Tuesday, May 21 - 6:00 - 8:00 pm CT (Rain date, Thursday, May 23 – 6:00 – 8:00 pm  CT)

WAITLIST: If the clinic date is full, click the green link to be on our WAITLIST in case we get a cancellation.

RAIN DATE:  In case of inclement weather, we will either change to an indoor location or reschedule. You will be notified by email of any change to the location or schedule. Be sure to add RivertownPickleball@Yahoo.com to your contacts so notifications do not go to your spam/junk folder. 

 

LOCATION:  Outdoor Clinics will be held at the Rivertown Pickleball Complex at 5211 S. Vann Road, Newburgh.  Courts 1-2-3. Check in will be on Court 1.

EQUIPMENT:  Loaner paddles will be made available to those who do not have their own equipment.  We will also furnish the outdoor balls. You may want to bring a drink with your initials on the lid.  Wear tennis/court shoes and comfortable clothing.

 

CANCELLATION: If you find out that you are unable to attend, please notify us immediately so we can fill your spot from our waitlist. No refunds/credits.
